This is south Indian recipe. This is a popular dish originated from Tamil Nadu. It is a spicy chicken gravy, where spices are freshly roasted, grounded and added to the gravy which gives a very good flavor and aroma.
This can be served with dosa, idiyappam, chapathi etc. Everytime I prepare this my family enjoy it.
Steps and Preparation (I did for 1 1/2 half chicken).
- Heat pan ,
- 2 tablespoon oil,
- Bay leaves 1/2,
- Peppercorn 1/2 teaspoon,
- Coriander seeds 1 1/2 teaspoon,
- Jeera 1 teaspoon,
- Saunf 1 tablespoon,
- Star anise 1,
- 2 cloves,
- javithri 1/2,
- Green Chilly 1,
- Red chilly 5,
- Dalchini 1 small piece,
- whole cardomom 5,
- Cashew 10,
- Coconut grated 1 1/2 tablespoon,
- Then fry and keep aside and grind to paste.
